Dr. Frank Halter Dr. Frank Halter studied at the University of St. Gallen and at HEC Genève, graduating in business administration with a lic.oec. HSG, and then completed his doctorate at the European Business School, graduating with Dr.rer.pol. He is the owner of f-halter gmbh and the initiator of the St.Gallen Succession Model (www.sgnafo-modell.ch). He is also involved as a speaker in the field of succession. His main topics are business succession, complexity and dynamics in family businesses, SME leadership and entrepreneurship, which are further developed in the context of his research, teaching, training and consulting activities. Prof. Dr. Simon Grand Simon Grand is Associate Professor for Strategic Management and Management Innovation at University of St.Gallen, He is co-autor of «Managing in a Complex World: The St.Gallen Management Model» and research fellow at the Zurich Center for Creative Economies of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). He engages as strategy designer and is member of the board of directors in several internationally present enterpreneurial Swiss firms. His research focuses on entrepreneurial strategizing, especially in the context of technological innovation. Based on in-depth, longitudinal case studies in various industries, he studies the strategy processes and strategizing practices through which entrepreneurs and executives enact their organizations to create future value and thus advance their entrepreneurial agility. The findings of his research have been published in various books, book chapters and scientific articles in international journals. Simon Grand brings his perspective to current research projects at our institute and will contribute to research and publication initiatives on questions of strategy making and future enterpreneurial agility of medium-sized (family) businesses.
